Demolition at Branstone Farm

Demolition at Branstone Farm took place over January and February 2021, the work was undertaken by John Peck Demolition and completed ahead of schedule and within budget. The redundant farmyard barns have been demolished and the site has been cleared to create a blank canvas ready for the delivery of the new Business Park Units. While asbestos has been safely removed from site, as much material as possible has been retained from the demolition, this will be recycled into the site to create habitat bunds and level the ground.

Retaining material on site helps reduce carbon emissions that would otherwise be created by transporting tonnes of material off site. Old farm gates have also been reused by the Isle of Wight Council Rights of Way team. The site is now ready for the next phase of development which is expected to be progressing on site in May 2021.
